Jorge Pérez-Albela, a drummer, composer, and educator from Lima, Peru, blends jazz with Afro-Peruvian and other global rhythmic traditions. Temidayo Balogun brings his ensemble AKÉDE to perform music from his acclaimed debut album Ìbà, a powerful synthesis of Yoruba musical traditions, West African rhythms, and adventurous contemporary jazz harmony.
