31 May 2008, Saturday Milton Hospital Health Fair Time: 11:00am - 3:00pm Location: Milton Hospital Milton Hospital's May 31, Health Fair is an event you won't want to miss! Festivities will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 3 p.m., featuring an array of health-focused interactive exhibits, fun demonstrations and events for people of all ages. An appearance by a nationally recognized Double-Dutch jump rope team headline a day of demonstrations that promote a healthy, active life style. Demonstrations of Zumba and Tai Chi will also take center stage throughout the day. The "Gallery of Health" will feature exhibitors from the Milton Hospital family, as well the local community, covering such health issues as heart disease and skin cancer, and providing simple screenings and informative literature. The "Gallery of Health" will also include a display of the "Supercolon," a fascinating, giant-sized model of a human colon, which is sure to capture the attention of everyone in attendance. The event will also feature an interactive exhibit area, to include a tour of a Fallon Ambulance, and demonstrations by the Milton Police. Healthy and delicious food, such as lean burgers, veggie burgers and turkey dogs will be provided at affordable prices by Quincy restaurant Eatin' Healthy. Common Ground restaurant of Dorchester Lower Mills will serve their famous fruit smoothies and attendees will be treated to free samples of World of Grains, a new, all-natural whole grain cookie. The day will also include an appearance by Milton Hospital's da Vinci robot, a raffle of a Child's bike courtesy of Dave's Bike Infirmary, face painting, a DJ and lots of games for the kids.
