9th Annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer
The 9th Annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer is a sweet way to raise "dough" to battle breast cancer. More than 100 restaurants and bakeries in the Boston area will bake unique desserts the week leading up to Mother's Day (May 11). To help with this effort, simply indulge in dessert at a participating restaurant or bakery (desserts cost around $8) between May 5th and May 11th. Proceeds will benefit breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The event has raised more than $190,000 and this year organizers hope to reach the quarter million mark. This year's event honoree is Executive Pastry Chef from Finale, Nicole Coady, a supporter of Boston Bakes since its inception.

There will be a kick-off celebration with desserts and wine at Finale on Thursday, May 1st. Tickets for the kick-off celebration event at Finale's Park Plaza cost $45 each.
