Passport Series at 62 Restaurant & Winebar
Time: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: 62 Wharf St, Salem, MA 01970
62 Restaurant & Winebar in Salem, Massachusetts is preparing to launch a 3-month-long Passport Series promotion (starting September 1st, 2010 and continuing until December 2nd, 2010) in which Chef/Owner Antonio Bettencourt will offer a 3-course, prefix menu for $28 highlighting both a different country each month, and traveling the sweet & savory inroads of the interior of each European country selected. “It’s actually a fun way to stretch your culinary legs; creating dishes from both countries and regions that I may have training in, but don’t actually get to experiment with on a daily basis,” said Chef Bettencourt when asked about the concept for the Passport Series.

A great deal for diners, the restaurant has added a fun twist to their series. Guests will be issued passports that will be stamped as they make their culinary journey visiting the various regions and cities as the month progresses. Guests that travel to every region within a country in a single month (4x in one month) will be given a free “flight” or “free prefix dinner” next time they come in with a guest to the series. Guests that visit just 1 country a month for the entire series (3x in three months) will be entered to win a free vacation to Europe compliments of 62 Restaurant & Winebar and Colony Travel located in Lynnfield, MA. The trip will include a 3-night stay and cooking class at Relais Riserva di Fizzano, Castellina in Chianti. The Riserva di Fizzano is an ancient medieval "bourg" owned by Rocca delle Macie, situated on a hilltop in the Chianti Classico Hills, surrounded by vienyards and olive groves.

"The partnership between food & travel is natural and organic. This promotion is truly out-of-the-box and we're excited to be partnering with 62 Restaurant & Winebar and Chef Bettencourt on this program," said Heidi M. Eramo, Vice President of Colony Travel, Inc. located at 36 Salem Street in Lynnfield, MA.

So if you end up clearing customs or not, this 3-course prefix dinner promotion is a homerun for only $28!

Available Tuesday – Thursday from 5:00PM –10:00PM starting September 1st, 2010, guests can make reservations by calling the restaurant directly at 978-744-0062 and applying for their passport.
