Seafood Dinner
BOSTON | Boston's best chefs are joining the New England Aquarium to show the public how to purchase, prepare and enjoy sustainable seafood.

The New England Aquarium Celebrate Seafood Dinner Series pairs top local chefs with Aquarium executive chef Tim Ridge to create a delicious way to educate diners about the many ocean-friendly seafood options available.

The Celebrate Seafood Dinner Series is a three-course sustainable seafood meal that includes wine pairings and cooking demonstrations in a fun, conversational format through which guests are encouraged to ask questions of the chefs and Aquarium sustainable seafood experts. It's a unique opportunity for guests to personally converse with favorite Boston chefs.

Top Boston Chef Michael Schlow of Great Bay Restaurant kicks off the series Jan. 27 hosting a dinner of farm-raised oysters, farm-raised arctic char, and wild pacific cod. Through its Celebrate Seafood program the New England Aquarium promotes seafood choices that have minimal environmental impacts on the world's oceans.

Here's the full 2009 dinner schedule:

o April 21: Guest Chef BJ Salazar of Sel De La Terre. Menu of farm-raised Taylor Bay scallops and farm-raised barramundi
o June 23: Guest Chef Dan Enos of Oceanaire. Menu of farm-raised crayfish, mahi mahi and golden tilefish
o August 18: Guest Chef TBD. Menu of farm-raised quahogs, squid and wild stripers
o October 6: Guest Chef Jose Duarte of Taranta. Menu of farm-raised mussels, Alaska salmon and sablefish
o November 10: Guest Chef Andy Husbands of Tremont 647. Menu of dungeness crab, farm-raised rainbow trout and opakapaka


Show and Taste Tuesdays at Sibling Rivalry
Chef Kinkead will demonstrate three courses with global influences from the Sibling Rivalry menu that guests will have an opportunity to taste at $50 per person.
