Join hosts Liz Bramwell and Catherine O'Brien at 7:00pm as they mix things up and prepare Hingham chef de cuisine Mike Kelly's delicious BBQ pork spareribs with jalapeno corn pudding and fennel coleslaw. The Greater Merrimack Valley Restaurant Showcase Week runs from Sunday, August 1st through Sunday, August 15th. On Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the bar, make like you're in Venice and indulge in the classic Italian effervescent beverage, which the talented bar staff will be concocting from house made fruit purees, for $9 each. Traditionalists can sample the classic peach Bellini which will always be on the menu, but adventurous guests can also sample whatever particular version the bartender feels like whipping up that evening. The Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro will begin offering a new “Picnic Style” amenity beginning June 7th, 2010 and continuing until the weather turns cold. Guests need only call 1-hour ahead to place their order “Picnic Style” and upon arrival their items will be nicely tucked away in their own rustic basket along with a blanket for leisure picnic-dining just steps away at the Public Gardens or the destination of their choosing. Shark Week began in 1987 as the Discovery Channel’s homage to sharks in the form of a week-long series of television programs featuring the fascinating fish. The series’ immense popularity quickly blossomed into a pop culture phenomenon, making Shark Week nothing short of a national holiday.
