Vlora Restaurant will be celebrating the Boston Marathon with a special Marathon lunch and dinner menu during the week of April 14th. For that week, Vlora will be offering three different delicious pasta dishes for only $7.99 at lunch and $9.99 for dinner. Vlora is located at 545 Boylston Street in Boston. The Great Tapas Challenge Chef/Owner Andy Husbands, Tremont 647 & Sister Sorel, will compete against special guest challengers, Chef Jason Santos (currently the reigning Champion) of Gargoyles on the Square and Chef Jamie Bissonnette of KO Prime. The evening will begin with a passed appetizer and sangria reception followed by a 3 Course sit-down tapas dinner. In compliance with this competition's official rules & guidelines, each course will consist of three different tapas, one from each of the challengers. First course is shrimp, second course is chicken, and third course is pork. Each chef will serve one dish per course (total of three tapas size dishes per course) which will come out in rapid succession. Each guest gets to choose who will be dubbed Tapas King, by filling out a ballot for each dish throughout the competition! Reservations are strongly recommended as the event usually sells out fast.
