Fulfill your Need for Speed at the

Thompson International Speedway Racing School

 

Here’s the skinny:

  

All classes are small and start on the hour with no waiting for a racecar. You'll start with a ten-page handout and a one-hour orientation in a classroom setting.

Now it’s on to pit road for your fire suit and helmet. We'll pick a racecar, buckle you in and you'll get the command to “Fire Engines!” After those 500 horses roar to life you'll proceed onto the track for your warm-up session, which will last 8-10 minutes. It will cover radio contact, passing, proper line, as well as braking and acceleration points. Lastly we'll scrub the tires and start building speed….And then it will be time to “Go Green!”

 

What you can expect:

 

  Authentic, race-proven NASCAR racecars
  10 Page handout and orientation
  Fire suits, helmets and goggles
  Photography and in-car Video (optional)
  Radio contact and no lead cars

  Professional instructors and drivers

Logistics:

 

Depart Boston at 10:30 am, arrive at the Racing School at roughly 11:45 am

Lunch will be offered from 12:00 – 1:00 pm

Classes begin at 1:00 pm for the driver and passengers begin at 1pm as well.

Depart the Racing School at 2:30/3:00 pm, arrive back home roughly 4:30 pm

 

 

Timing:

Depart 10:30 am, arrive 11:45 am, lunch served 12 – 1 pm, classes begin 1 - 2 pm for driver,  Riders start at 1pm;

Depart 3 pm, arrive back home at 4 pm

Event Specifics:

 

Road trip to the Race Track, Racing School, and Tail-gate lunch

Thompson International Speedway, 205 East Thompson Road, Thompson, CT 06277

 

All drivers must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid drivers license to experience the thrill of driving a NASCAR racecar. If you're a thrill seeker and would like to go for a ride-along with one of our pros, you must be at least 10 years old.

Directions:

 

From the Greater Boston Area:

Use the Mass Tpke. Leaving at Exit 10 and turn onto Rt. 395 South to Exit 99.  Turn left at end of exit ramp to center of village.  Turn left on Rt. 193.  Go approx. 1 mile to East Thompson Rd.
